In India, there is a great need to give immediate attention to the next generation. The future of the nation rests on their shoulders. For believers, it is a double burden — as we realize that the future of the church also lies in their hands. How we invest in our present generation of children has a profound impact on tomorrow!

Consider this: Nearly 40 percent of the 1.3 billion people in India, the world’s largest democracy, are children under 14 years of age.

If you include children up to the age of 16, they account for nearly 60 percent of the population. And we have the wonderful privilege to influence their lives and thereby influence the future!

IGL invests in the lives of children through our many homes, schools, day care centers, evening study centers and Children’s Gospel Clubs. All of IGL’s education programs are implemented with the conviction that education is a tool to eradicate poverty and bring about social, economic and spiritual development.

Children who have grown up in IGL homes are now leading in their communities in all walks of life. There are many who have been trained as teachers and nurses, even doctors and engineers. Also, many pastors and church leaders have been raised up through our children’s ministry.

We are committed to continuing to raise strong Christian leaders who can make a difference in this culture, for years to come.
