Rescuing children from poverty, malnutrition and, most importantly, spiritual darkness is among the core ministry activities of IGL. Because nearly 30% of India’s population is under the age of 14, we focus resources and attention on equipping young people to be the kind of leaders who will spread the gospel to their generation and beyond!

Children’s Gospel Clubs (CGCs) impact children between the ages of 3 to 15 all over South Asia – check out the map to see just how far CGCs have reached this year! Providing one whole year of weekly discipleship, CGCs offer Bible training, Bible stories and training in Christian living. And every year the program has grown. In fact, since 2002, CGC attendance has more than tripled in size!

This year, the theme of our CGC program is “Worship the Lord in Spirit and Truth.” Faith in Jesus as the only One True God can be a difficult concept to grasp for children growing up in the idol-saturated cultures of South Asia. This year in CGC’s, they are learning what it means to worship Christ with the best of their hearts and lives.

“God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” (John 4:24, ESV)
