The Lord has called us to spread His message of love and salvation to the four corners of the earth, but that can be an overwhelming task. So how do we take part in spreading the Great Commission around the world? One woman decided to participate in advancing the Kingdom by turning her marathon into a fundraiser!

Judy sponsors a child in India and has developed a passion for helping kids in need in South Asia.

“I was praying for Selvi [her sponsored child] one night on my way home from work, and felt God was telling me to ask for pledges and donations for my run… The next Sunday, 3 weeks before my planned 26.2 mile run, I stood in front of my church family and asked their support in making a dream of mine come true, and to pledge or donate for children in India. The ‘Children of India’ Run was born!”

For the next three weeks, Judy asked everyone she saw to support the Children of India Run, receiving more than she could have hoped for! Friends helped by making T-shirts, making signs, praying and some even showed up along the course with encouragement and cheers. And within three weeks, “God raised $3,323 for children in India!”
